Dave Potts is an acoustic singer-songwriter whose melodic, story-driven songs capture the quiet truths of everyday life. With a flannel-smooth voice, a humorous stage presence, and a gift for finding meaning in ordinary moments, he has spent decades connecting with audiences through heartfelt songwriting and authentic storytelling.
Raised in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, Dave spent his early years crisscrossing the country in a dusty red pickup truck, performing in more than 2,000 venues across 43 states. Along the way, he earned honors including a first-place win in the International Acoustic Music Awards (Folk/Americana/Roots category), Just Plain Folks New Folk Song of the Year, and recognition as a four-time New Folk Finalist at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival.
After stepping away from the road to raise a family, Dave found fresh inspiration in the everyday experiences that would deepen both his perspective and his songwriting. Now, with his children grown, he has returned to writing, recording, and performing with the wisdom that only time can provide.
Thoughtful, hopeful, and nostalgic, his songs are rooted in the belief that life's most meaningful stories are often found in the simple moments we tend to overlook.
