Dave Potts is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a poet’s eye for detail, crafting melodic, story-driven songs that capture the quiet truths of everyday life.  With a flannel-smooth voice and a humorous, disarming stage presence, he carved out a place in the modern folk scene through relentless touring, heartfelt songwriting, and a deep connection to life’s small, meaningful moments.

Raised in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, Dave spent his early years sharing his songs across the country, travelling in his dusty red pickup truck, logging 50,000+ miles a year and performing in over 2,000 venues across 43 states. He eventually put down roots in Auburn, Alabama, where his songs began to reflect the quiet beauty of small-town life. His work earned accolades including a first-place win in the International Acoustic Music Awards (Folk/Americana/Roots category), Just Plain Folks New Folk Song of the Year, and recognition as a four-time New Folk Finalist at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival.

Dave brings his stories to life with what Dirty Linen Magazine calls “lines that will tug at even the most jaded heart.” His hometown newspaper, The OA News, agrees, noting that, “Potts is at the top of his game when singing about the mundane splendor of small-town life-those stolen moments we so often overlook.”

Dave stepped away from the touring life to raise a family, and along the way, unexpectedly became one of the most respected and successful voices in the world of Fantasy Baseball, earning a place in the National Fantasy Baseball Hall of Fame. It was an unlikely detour, but one fueled by the same passion and creativity that defined his music.

Now, with his kids grown and the noise of daily life quieter, Dave Potts is turning the volume back up on music. Writing, recording, and performing once again, he brings with him the wisdom of time, the depth of experience, and the same melodic storytelling that first won over audiences from coast to coast.
